Razorback Mascot Family
The University of Arkansas is proud to not only have Big Red, our
traditional mascot, but to have three other mascots at all home games.
Each mascot is able to be located in a different area of the stadium or
arena which allows more fans to get in on the fun. Below is a bio of
each mascot beginning with Big Red.
Big Red
He is our traditional costumed mascot who is visible at all Razorback
athletic events. He is the main mascot for the University of Arkansas
who is seen as tough and intimidating.
Boss Hog
He is our 9 foot tall inflatable mascot who was introduced at the end of
the 1998-1999 football season. Because of his size and look, he is the
newest craze among mascots. He has also quickly become a crowd favorite
because of his crazy moves and personality.
Sue E
She is our female hog who is very public relations oriented and appears
at all Razorback athletic events. Sue E is popular with the younger fans
and she is noted for her costume changes and her dancing.
Pork Chop
This is our small (“kid sized”) hog who is also public relations
oriented. Pork Chop is less intimidating than Big Red and therefore very
popular among the younger Razorback fans. You can also find Pork Chop at
all Razorback athletic events.
University of Arkansas Alma Mater
Pure as the dawn on the brow of thy beauty,
Watches thy soul from the mountains of God
Over the Fates of thy children departed,
Far from the land where their footsteps have trod.
Beacon of Hope in the ways dreary lighted,
Pride of our hearts that are loyal and true; From
Those who adore unto one who adores us--
Mother of Mothers, we sing unto you.
The Famous Razorback Hog Call
